It was reported that in 2016, 39% of adults around the world were overweight, with 13% falling into the category of obese. This figure represents a tripling of worldwide obesity since 1975, which has resulted in an increase in cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, and some forms of cancer.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of medicine that surgically and non-surgically treats conditions involving the musculoskeletal system, including, but not limited to, musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. Following medical school, orthopedic surgeons spend 5 years in an orthopedic surgery residency training program.

OSHA, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, is the United States Department of Labor department created in 1970 to regulate workplace safety and health. Their goal is to prevent work related illnesses, injuries, and death.

Otolaryngology is a medical specialty field that focuses on the ears, nose, and throat, such as injuries of the ear and nose, sinus conditions, respiratory, face, and jaw issues. There are also Otolaryngologists-head and neck that specialize in head and neck medicine and surgery for thyroid, and parathyroid disorders, cancers of the head and neck, and voice and swallowing disorders.

Outsourcing

Outsourcing is the process where companies contract with other companies to manage the services they need, but they do not want to provide themselves. This process helps companies in the United States to be more competitive in the international marketplace by reducing short term costs, increasing efficiency, and keeping labor costs low by hiring in developing markets with lower standards of living.
