Dr. Joel Gellman, Exclusive Expert Witness

Dr. Gellman has twenty years of experience as a clinical cardiologist. He holds five active board certifications: Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation, Adult Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Gellman is an expert in all aspects of clinical cardiology, including but not limited to: the treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD) or atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) i.e. angina and unstable angina, acute coronary syndromes, and myocardial infarction; cardiomyopathy and heart failure; diseases of the pericardium; pulmonary hypertension; preventive cardiology, i.e. cholesterol and blood pressure management; mitral and aortic valve disease; endocarditis; deep venous thrombosis(DVT) and pulmonary embolism(PE); arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias; pre-operative cardiac testing and peri-operative cardiac management; stress testing i.e. treadmill exercise tests, nuclear stress tests and stress echo.

He is the recipient of two prestigious awards from the American College of Cardiology, the Merck Fellowship and Centocor Career Development Award. He has received funding to conduct original research, delivered papers at national and international meetings, and authored publications in peer reviewed journals.
