I have 25 years of experience, and specialize in the field of computational biology with specific knowledge in the areas of ribonucleic acid (RNA) structure, computational sequence and structure analysis and development of computer programs and web sites. I have published on such topics as prediction of RNA structure, identification and characterization of RNA structural motifs and phylogenetic and evolutionary relationships. While my primary focus has been on the analysis and prediction of RNA sequences, structures, and evolution, I like to interact with scientists, lawyers, biotechnology and computer companies (e.g. Microsoft Research) to understand and decipher RNA and molecular biology from different perspectives while learning from people with expertise in different disciplines.
