I have 36 years of experience, and specialize in the field of actuarial science with specific knowledge in the areas of defined benefit pension plans, pension cost projections and employee benefits. I have published on such topics as the advantages of defined benefit over defined contribution plans. I have testified on defined benefit plan funding, calculation of retiree pension benefits and qualified domestic relations orders (QDRO’s). Prior to becoming an actuary, I taught math for four years from junior high to college level courses.
