At Round Table Group, we pride ourselves on the level of service we offer both clients and experts, and the clarity of our communications. Below is a short summary of how engagements with Round Table Group often go.
Step 1: Clients come to us with a request to locate expert candidates. We take basic information during this stage: what the matter is about, parties involved, what their key criteria are for their expert(s), and what information is ok to share initially. We do not share party names without a client’s express permission.
Step 2: We begin our search. We begin by searching our internal database of experts and contacting relevant candidates, and then we continue our rigorous and thorough search in external resources. If you are interested and available, please respond to let us know and include the information we request.
Step 3: We present your credentials to our client.
Step 4: If the client is interested, we set up an interview. During the interview, the client will ask you more about your credentials and you may ask the client more about the engagement.
Step 5: If both you and the client are interested in moving forward, then we complete the retention agreements, share contact information, and work begins!
Please note: it is not unusual for a client to begin looking for experts and then put the search on hold between Steps 3 and 5 for months at a time. This may be due to case scheduling changes, settlement talks, or simply that they started the expert search early but don’t need to retain yet. We will continue to reach out to the client every few weeks, but often our updates during these phases are simply that we’re still waiting as well.
Step 6: As work continues, you send your invoices to us and we bill the clients. Once they pay the invoices, we promptly pay you.
