I have 20 years of experience, and specialize in the field of electronic materials and devices with specific knowledge in the areas of renewable energy, ferroelectrics and nanotechnology. I have published on such topics as non-volatile memories, thin-film deposition and nanomaterials growth and laser spectroscopic and scanned probe analysis of materials. I have testified on electronic properties of materials, nanomaterials and graduate education, mentoring and advising. I was deeply honored to be selected to receive one of the US Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). Awarded in a White House ceremony, this is the highest award that the US government bestows upon scientists and engineers at the early stages of their (academic) careers. Mine follows a 21-year record of experience in the national lab, the semiconductor industry, and then academe.
