Materials Science Expert Witnesses

Material Science studies the properties of solid materials and how those properties are influenced by a material’s construction and structure. By understanding the sources of properties, materials can be selected or designated for a large selection of applications from structural steels to computer microchips. Material Science is critical to the engineering fields of aerospace, electronics, telecommunications, nuclear power, information processing, and energy conversion. Our materials science expert witnesses, speakers, and consultants are scholars from major universities and industry professionals who are knowledgeable in the study and application of the properties of various materials, including alloys, ceramics, composites, gels, membranes, polymers, synthetics, and biological materials. They have extensive experience dealing with areas as diverse as semiconductors, nanostructured polymers, pharmaceuticals, and drug development, electrochemical power sources, medical devices, engineering, and patent and copyright cases. Our materials science experts have successfully testified for both the plaintiffs and the defense in a variety of cases and are prolific authors and lecturers worldwide.
